Mikuni VM34SS carburettor for SR500

The SR500 had three different OEM carburettors during its years of construction.

The MIKUNI VM34SS-2J4 was installed in the '2J4', the SR500 of the 1978-1983 model years. From 1984 to approx. 1990, the MIKUNI VM34SS-48T was fitted in the '48T'. A characteristic feature of these carburettors is the choke lever, which is pressed downwards for operation.

The '48T' of the 1990/1991-1999 model years was supplied with the MIKUNI BST-34. This has a round choke button which is pulled to operate it.
