E-Starter for XT500 & SR500
From Brittany in France comes an innovation that would have been desirable for the XT500 and SR500 decades ago, but would hardly have found a buyer back then. We are talking about an electric starter for retrofitting. I'm sure everyone has had problems with starting and today they are the main reason why anyone still parts with their 500.
French revolutionThe developers are specialists in English classics. With their retrofit kits, they always make sure that everything is easy to fit and just as easy to remove. Nothing is permanently changed on the motorcycle. The original condition can be restored at any time.
An XT or SR converted in this way provides a completely new riding experience. Gone are the worries of not being able to restart the lukewarm engine and having to kick the bike over the side of the road sweating and swearing. The conversion kit is supplied ready to fit, including detailed installation instructions.
Good things made betterThe Breton solution involves an additional switch on the handlebars, which is used to operate the electric starter - which in principle
unfortunately also works when the ignition is switched off or a gear is engaged. We have therefore developed three different upgrade kits (buttons for XT and SR:
41853,
41854, SR500 throttle grip fitting:
41862), which only work when the ignition is switched on and no gear is engaged.
This safety feature is available exclusively from us for an extra charge. The minimal intervention required in the vehicle's electrical system can also be completely reversed.
New button for SR400FI and SR500We have developed a
button extension for the SR that is as inconspicuous as possible, which fits snugly into the original throttle grip housing and can be used as an e-start actuation for the Nuts&Bolts XSTART kits or our upgrade kits.
